Lisa Mitchener was certified in 1992 as a paralegal. During her past nineteen years of experience she has worked almost exclusively in Family Law. Lisa received her Board Certification in Family Law in 2001. She is a member, of The State Bar of Texas, Paralegal and Family Law Section and a member of The Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists.

With a tax and finance background from the University of Texas, Mr. Verdict has brought a unique skill set to the Evans Law Family Office.  Mr. Verdict always stands ready with his financial calculator.  Mr. Verdict primarily assists with the litigation side of our practice and coordinates with clients on the complicated process of navigating discovery, the worlds of accountants and IRS matters, financial experts, mental health experts, and the like when necessary.The addition of Mr. Verdict to James W. Evans Law Office has provided an extensive financial skill set and background that typically requires a firm to “outsource” for which client’s are billed for not only attorney time, but for the expert’s time as well.  With the teamwork of Mr. Verdict and Mr. Evans’ litigation experience, the firm is very capable of navigating highly complicated divorce matters.  As a result, James W. Evans Law Office is very well suited and prepared for the presentation of very complicated financial information, evaluations, and in particular in cases where private business interests are at stake.Whether a large or small case, agreed or uncontested, Mr. Verdict provides valuable insight and experience.

Dina has been Mr. Evans’ paralegal since 2007 and, as a mom to 3, brings the kind of organizational and multi-tasking skills required to keep the firm organized and on track. Though Dina assists in the litigation side of our practice, Dina primarily manages and oversees the Agreed and Uncontested Divorce matters and other issues in the office which are not contested between the parties on a day to day basis.  Dina is currently studying for the board certification exam to become a board certified paralegal for family law.

A former elementary principal, “Jenni” brings a unique perspective in the family law practice here at James W. Evans Law Office.  Many cases involve analyzing school and education options, education performance, and “comparing” schools.  As a former principal, Jenni has worked with special needs students, child protective services, and divorcing parents and the like.  Jenni brings this insight and experience to our clients with regard to education planning, conferencing with teachers and directors of schools, and analysis of the progress and status of a child in their school.
