Evans Family Law Group is excited to announce that our founding Attorney, James “Jimmy” Evans has been selected and named 2024 Super Lawyers®. Mr. Evans has now been selected every year since 2009, having been selected as Super Lawyers® for the past 14 years. Only 5% of all Texas Lawyers are named Texas Super Lawyers® and that is even smaller in the category of Family Law Specialists in Texas, placing Mr. Evans in a very distinguished category of Family Law Specialists in the State of Texas.
In addition, one of our associate Attorneys, J. Riggs, has now been selected and received the “Rising Stars” accolade from the Super Lawyers® organization in 2023 and again in 2024. While only 5% of Attorneys are named to Super Lawyers, no more than and only 2.5% of Attorneys are named “Rising Stars” likewise placing Mr. Riggs in a very distinguished category of Family Law Attorneys in the State of Texas.

What is Rising Stars?
The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. All attorneys first go through the Super Lawyers selection process. Those who are not selected to the Super Lawyers list, but who meet either one of the Rising Stars eligibility requirements, go through the Rising Stars selection process. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
